As the river winds into town, there is a small park that gives access to the river. Many are the fish that are caught here. The state Department of Wildlife and Fisheries stocks the river on a regular basis at several points. This provides an enjoyable sport for the many anglers that come to this area.

From the Rock you can go to the common area and float back to your rental.
This is where you will find the ROCK - On the Chattahoochee River.
How did the name ROCK originate? Indian folklore has said the bent trees in the surrounding woods marked a Cherokee trail across the river. The tribe often stopped on "The Rock" to fish and cook their catch in the holes in "The Rock". Today, every Kayaker, canoer, or rafter that has ever been down the "Hooch" knows "The Rock" as a place to rest and relax for a spell.
When standing on the deck of the cabin "The Rock" you have the advantage of overlooking right down on "The Rock" but you are not so close that anyone resting on the "The Rock" will notice you.
