At River's Edge on the Hooch is a lovely, cozy 3-story condo located close to the center of the delightful town of Alpine Helen. The condo is tastefully decorated and situated within a short walking distance from Helen Water Park. In addition to the water park, guests can enjoy the fun and excitement of tubing the Chattahoochee River in the summer months.
This condo is great for families or couples who want to be in town but off the main strip. The Chattahoochee River is only a short walk away and the condo has spectacular river views.
After a busy day in Helen, shopping or trying one of the many delicious restaurants, guests can relax in the hot tub on the deck. The condo has a propane grill so you can grill your mountain trout or steaks to perfection and enjoy a bottle of local wine from one of the area's many wineries.
For outdoor enthusiasts, hiking trails are close by at Smithgall Woods, Dukes Creek, Raven Cliffs, Unicoi State Park, and many others. Sunburst Stables provides horseback riding and zip lines, while Unicoi State Park Lake is ideal for swimming & fishing in the summer months.
Helen stays busy all year round. Oktoberfest is a great time to visit & sample authentic German dishes while listening to music from the "old country." Visit Helen at Christmas and shop or take a horse-drawn carriage ride amongst the twinkling Christmas lights of Helen's winter wonderland.
The activities here are unlimited. Whether it’s a family getaway to explore Helen and Northeast Georgia or a time to chill and unwind, At River’s Edge is your getaway destination to handle any occasion.

It was very easy to book. When we noticed the hot tub was leaking, it didn't take long at all for someone to come and check on it. They said a hot tub professional would have to repair it on another day.

The beautiful creek runs right behind the condo. It is about a mile walk to the main part of town. We walked back from town after being dropped off with no problem, as there are sidewalks for most of the way. We all liked that all of the bedrooms had king sized beds, luggage racks, and hair dryers. There was a kitchenette and sitting area in the bottom/basement floor in addition to the kitchen on the main floor. There were both Keurig and regular drip coffee pots, so we could make both regular and decaffeinated coffee. There was salt and pepper there. There were separate towels for the hot tubs (there were two) and bath towels. The back porches are on all three levels of the house. Two of the bathrooms had walk in showers which were beneficial for our parents who are aged 79 and 82. Two of the three are screened in, so that is a nice place to sit out and drink a cup of coffee in the morning.

We had a great time! The condo was very clean, great location, and had lots of room. The only issue was the condo didnt have any blankets. The beds had heavy comforters, and some had stains. When we notified the team, they brought us new comforters. I believe the condo should have some extra clean blankets. Not one blanket on the entire condo, only comforters. Other than that, it was a great condo. No complaints. The team was very quick to respond and fix our issue.

The property was clean and in a very quiet area. Both hot tubs were clean and relaxing. Only suggestion I would make is a little book on how to use the TV in bedrooms. Also extra blankets as we prefer to keep the bedrooms cool but there were no extra blankets and we were a little chilly.
