Lost Soles of the River is an exquisite, newly renovated home right on the Chattahoochee River and just a few minutes walk to downtown Helen’s shops and restaurants! The name "Lost Soles" comes from the home for all those lost soles (shoes) that came floating down the river. The owners built a place between two trees so tubers could stop and hang all those single, lost soles. Unfortunately, the largest of the two trees had to be cut down and the once-famous “Lost Soles” siting for tubers and others alike is no longer there. However, the memory lives on and if you do any Geocaching, you’re sure to find a lost soles treasure on your app.
This gorgeous home has so many incredible features and amenities including a large deck overlooking the beautiful Chattahoochee River with a TV to stream your favorite music or watch your favorite show. Enjoy sitting around a great rustic fire pit and charcoal grill a delightful meal - all with plenty of seating so you can relax, enjoy, and make memories of a lifetime. There are a few steps right down to the river so you can fish, put your tube in for a stroll down the river, or just put your feet in.There is a badminton area, swings, picnic tables, and a smoker grill are all in a beautiful park-like setting. So many fun activities are offered right in your own backyard. This gem must be on the top of your list to stay in wonderful Alpine Helen, GA! With a short drive, there are plenty of beautiful waterfalls and nearby hiking.

We rented the cabin during Thanksgiving and through the weekend. On top of the great weather the property was amazing. We had extended family out for dinner and the large exterior deck had ample seating. Steps lead to the river and the view was incredible. The hot tub was large and clean and the children enjoyed smores over the fire pit on the deck. The beds were comfortable including the fold out according to the adults who slept there. On top of the amenities we were walking distance to the square and all enjoyed the lighting of the Christmas tree. We will be back

Our week at Lost Soles of the River cabin was so much better than we could have hoped for. Its always hard to know exactly what a place will be like when you make the reservation, and you hope that you and your family will enjoy it. This cabin exceeded our expectations in so many ways. The location was absolutely perfect for us, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the river. We spent loads of time on the back deck. Our kids enjoyed the outdoor play areas, and my husband and sons spent many hours fishing in the Chattahoochee. The cabin itself was very comfortable and clean, and having access to a washer and dryer was a huge benefit. We cannot wait to come back!
